North Star Community Services Provides a pathway to an in-demand career. The Direct Support Professional Apprenticeship Program offers an opportunity for you to learn and earn.

This is your chance to pursue that career in human services while learning, earning a wage, and receiving a certificate of completion at the end of one year.

Are you looking for a new position that brings purpose to your life? Are you a caring person who enjoys assisting others? Do you take pride in helping others reach their goals? If you answered "yes" to these questions, and you're self-motivated and energetic, then you're who we're looking for to become a Direct Support Professional (DSP)! Our DSPs have the great experience of supporting individuals with
developmental and intellectual disabilities to live their most successful lives.

As an apprentice, you will:

• Be trained by mentors who will help you through every step of the process.
• Gain experience in all services provided by North Star.
• Get paid for completing over 140 hours of related training including self-paced, technology-based, classroom and shadowing.
• Finish with a nationally recognized certificate of completion. Receive incremental increases as you go.
• Be eligible for a Team Leader position or to serve as a mentor to other apprentices.
